I just finished lining this pure white mink, hooded cape, for a very special customer (actually, all my customers are VERY special!). It's to be shipped tomorrow~it's a cloudy/rainy afternoon, so the picture is not as clear as it could have been. I take all my pics outdoors and without flash, as I find it often distorts the colors. The cape is supposed to resemble medieval styles, but with a train at the back. It took me a while to make this cape, mainly because I had to change my pattern a few times until the customer was completely happy~also white mink is pretty rare and not easy to find. I had lots of fun making it!
Hi everyone! My name in cyber world is dimitha and I have been creating doll coats, jackets and accessories using genuine, recycled furs for the last 10 years. This is both my hobby and my work! I have been saving pictures of my favorite creations for the past few years, and I would like to share them with you! I am hoping to meet other doll collectors and designers. The lady who purchased this coat in 2008 told me it reminded her of a coat she had as a little girl :)! It was made using chocolate brown sheared beaver, with pastel mink trimmings. It is one of my favourite coats ever; I made it only once, however, I'm thinking of making a similar one and including it in my fall collection.
